What is easter without egg hunting?

Lukas looked everywhere; in the gardenhouse, behind the gardenhouse....................

And finally he found not one chocolate egg but a whole basket full of chocolates. The best easter ever !!

At least Lukas can enjoy the king size beds and Anne-Sophie can hide in the nightstands.

And when we are done playing around in the hotel room, we go down to the pool to receive a real VIP treatment........ No we are not spoiled, we are just very special!

Lukas coloured eggs

It is the last day, before easter holiday! In Germany, it is a great tradition to decorate your house. So in almost every garden you will find trees full off coloured eggs and frontdoors are decorated with hand-made crowns and bunnies. Lukas went Egghunting with his classmates and afterwards they baked bread and cookies. Papa also got homework this week: blow-out 3 eggs for Lukas so he could paint them. The result:

...............and 1 little proud boy!

A rainy sunday

What to do on a rainy day?

Drive the car together first Lukas pushes and than it is Anne-Sophie's turn!

Or what about fingerpainting?

Or drawing that is not so messy and Anne-Sophie can also participate.

No reason to be bored on a rainy Sunday!

Birthday Anna Lasnon

Today Anna Lasnon celebrated her 4th birthday in the Mcdonalds at the Zoologischer Garten in Berlin. Lukas and I were dropped off by pappa to join the 16 other kids at the party. Lukas really enjoyed himself, playing together with Tamara and Chiara. He ate fries, nuggets and birthday cake as dessert. Anne-Sophie enjoyed her afternoon with daddy!

Afterwards we took the train home!

Family Outing to lake in Falkensee

We are living in Berlin for more than 3 months so time to disover the neighbourhood. Next to our home is a nice lake surrounded by woods. The ideal place to walk and....................

Schooltrip to Potsdam

Lukas is going on a schooltrip to the planetarium in Potsdam, just outside Berlin. The teachers asked me to join them on the trip.



In the dark an explanation was given about the sun, moon and stars. Everybody was fascinated except Anne-Sophie. She had difficulties being quiet.

Anne-Sophie 1st Birthday

Anne-Sophie is 1 year old. Time flies. We are just back from Rotterdam, where we spent 1 week with aunt Heleen and Eveline.





On the way back we picked up Tonia and Opa Karl joined us in Falkensee to celebrate Anne-Sophie's birthday. Opa Karl baked a real birthday cake for his granddaughter!












On Sunday 02-03-2008 we had some more visit from new friends in Berlin. Astrid came with little Lily (16-01-2008) and Martina & Thomas Neeser with their daughter Tamara. Paula called to say that she was not able to come with Anna & Chiara but the neighbours dropped in. A small party for a little princess.
